AMEGROVE, S.COOP. GALEGA

Amegrove is a world leading cooperative society in its sector. Founded in 1977, it is made up of nearly 400 partners and a fleet of a hundred boats. We currently have 335 rafts and a production capacity of a total of 22,000 tons of mussels per year, supplying both the national and international markets.

At Amegrove we cover all the phasesin processing mussel, from farming to marketing. We have our own infrastructure for mussel purification, health control, selection of raw material, marketing and distribution.

ISO 9001 Management - In 2001, we obtained Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance certification in European Union standard UNE-EN-ISO-9002:2000, now renewedas 9001, making Amegrove the first certified mollusc purifier in Galicia.

Environmental FOS - Our being awarded, in September 2013,the international FRIEND OF THE SEA certification for aquiculture products endorses our commitment to the sector’s sustainability and guarantees the future for upcoming generations.

IFS food safety and quality - In December 2012, Amegrove was certified in the IFS FOOD standard, internationally renowned as a standard forauditing food safety and quality in food processes and products
