CAJAMAR

Cajamar Caja Rural is the leading rural savings bank and credit union in Spain, with more than 1.6 million members and 3.6 million customers. It is integrated and is the main shareholder of the Grupo Cooperativo Cajamar, reporting assets of €59,666 billion, a managed business volume €95,160 billion, a solvency coefficient of 15.56% and a phased-in CET1 ratio of 13.14% on 31 March 2022. It operates on the market through 870 branches and 158 agencies, of which 30% are in municipalities of less than 5,000 inhabitants, with 5,314 employees and 115 financial agents. Its digital banking, e-banking and mobile banking channels and its network of 1,511 ATMs are used by more than a million customers to make transactions directly and withdraw cash at any time of the day. Its 6 mobile offices - travelling vehicles - which provide a financial service in rural areas to villages with less than 1,500 inhabitants, mainly elderly people, must also be mentioned. As a national entity, it is present in all of the Spanish autonomous communities and cities. Based on its size and volume of assets, it is one of the 10 major banking entities in the Spanish financial system and, therefore, comes under the direct supervision of the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM), made up of the European Central Bank and the competent national authorities in the participating countries.
