Real Conservera Española: “The Best Cannery in the World”
All Real Conservera Española products exclusively use fish and seafood from the Galician estuaries, both from the Atlantic Ocean and Cantabrian Sea. Only the best specimens are used, which are always captured during campaign season when they are in optimal condition. The canning process is done in an artisanal, traditional way, in which the fish and seafood is cleaned, sorted by size and arranged individually in each can by hand. This production process, though more labor intensive than others, is more sustainable and allows for higher quality standards. The love and care that goes into each can has been recognized by many awards and certifications, among which are “2021 World´s Best 101 Canned Food Products from the Sea” ranking where the 7 products submitted ranked in the top 10 in their category, 3 of them coming in as #1 in the World (Sardines, Mackerel and Razor Clams). The “Galicia Alimentación Awards” also selected the Razor Clams in Brine as the Excellent Product of the Year (2022). Real Conservera Española is very proud of its conservas and their Galician origin, certified by the Protected Denomination of Origin Mexillón de Galicia, pescadeRías and Berberecho de Noia which allow for full traceability of each product.
