ARRANKOBA

In 1982, ARRANKOBA was born in the heart of the Ondarroa fishing port by the Ondarroa and Lekeitio Fishermen's Guilds. A company dedicated to the purchase, freezing, processing and marketing of fish caught on the coast of the Cantabrian Sea, especially from inshore artisanal boats.

The ARRANKOBA facilities are located in a privileged location, just 20 meters from the fish market. And after all our long history, we are still anchored to our origin. A special place that has seen us born and grow to become what we are today, a benchmark in the frozen fish sector, both nationally and internationally.

In 2009, the second freezing plant in Mundaka opened its doors: FRIGORÍFICOS DE BERMEO. Together with two other partners, Arrankoba is embarking on an ambitious project that offers the possibility of freezing and storing large volumes of fish.

In 2018 we completely renovated the refrigeration installation of the Ondarroa plant, betting on the most advanced forced-air tunnel freezing system. Thanks to this, Arrankoba guarantees, once again, the optimum quality of the frozen products it markets.

FREEZING AND STORAGE SERVICES

Apart from buying, freezing and marketing our fish, we offer a special freezing and storage SERVICE, based on trust and transparency. A service adapted to the specific needs of each client, making use of the most advanced technologies to guarantee the optimum quality of their fish. And all this, with adjusted rates that satisfy all our customers. Our specialty is to provide frozen tuna and anchovy services, although more and more people are requesting our services for horse mackerel, hake, monkfish or squid. If we combine more than 40 years of experience, our dedication to service and the privileged location at the foot of the port, we achieve that service that makes us different and makes us feel proud of what we do.
